Oidé Coffee
About This Spot
Stepping into Oidé Coffee on West 2nd Avenue is like finding a serene pause amidst the city’s rhythm. The space welcomes you with a quiet confidence—walls of exposed concrete softened by carefully chosen touches of art and subtle warmth. There’s a studied calm here, where the hum of conversation blends seamlessly with the gentle clink of porcelain and the low thrum of distant espresso machines. It’s a spot that invites you to slow down, whether that means unspooling a morning with a fresh croissant warmed by the buttery scent, or settling in after a busy day with a meticulously balanced latte in hand.
The pace at Oidé doesn’t rush you—there’s room to breathe and linger, with seating areas that feel thoughtfully spaced to allow both intimate moments and quiet observation. Light filters softly through the windows, landing across minimalist furnishings and the intriguing wall art that also tells a story, connecting coffee culture with local creativity. It’s a community nook where the air feels just a little more charged with purpose, yet remains refreshingly relaxed.
The menu echoes this simplicity with quiet confidence. A matcha latte poured just right, a black sesame pastry with unexpected depth, or a ginger yuzu honey soda that sparkles with brightness—all served with a precision that underscores a commitment to quality over quantity. Each bite and sip feels purposeful, inviting you to appreciate subtle layers and contrasts without distraction.
For those who linger, the atmosphere easily cultivates a sense of belonging. There’s a creative hum here, a shared appreciation for craft and calm that attracts a thoughtful, artsy crowd without ceremony. It’s a place where conversations fade into background music and moments of stillness are just as cherished as the coffee itself.
Oidé Coffee is far from just another stop on your daily route—it’s a place to pause, to savor small pleasures, and to connect with a community drawn together by understated quality and warmth.

Delicious pastries and high quality drinks. Love the simplicity of this place! Overall, a unique cafe that I highly recommend to try!!

Recently tried their latte and it was really good — smooth, well-balanced, and not too bitter. The café itself has a very chill atmosphere, cozy but spacious enough that you don’t feel crowded. I liked how the vibe was relaxed and the people inside felt kind of artsy and creative, which made the whole experience even nicer. It’s definitely a great spot to just sit, sip, and enjoy a slow moment. I noticed there’s also a popular coffee shop right next door, so I’ll probably check that out next time — but I’ll definitely be coming back here too!

Oidé Coffee is a hidden gem with a minimalist and stylish design, featuring sleek concrete walls and a calming atmosphere. The simple menu focuses on quality, and we tried their iced Americano, latte, croissant, and cookie—all above average and well-crafted. The downstairs seating area adds a cozy touch, making it a great place to relax and enjoy a boutique coffee experience. Definitely worth a visit if you’re into aesthetic cafes and quality coffee.

Such a cool environment, I came with my sister and we loved the thoughtfully decorated industrial vibe of the cafe area. They have paintings displayed on the wall that have QR codes you can scan for more information on the artists, and you can buy the pieces as well! The walls and floor may be concrete, but there's framed "canvas" on a couple of the walls that greatly help with acoustics, my sister and I had no trouble conversing nor did other guests conversations echo into ours. As for the food- well, get there in the morning if you'd like some! We got there 2 hours before close but unfortunately they had sold out of all food items by that point. The drinks we got were delicious though. My sister got a black iced Americano, and I got their iced matcha latte, and I was tempted to get a second! It was smooth and sweet, and whisked properly so there was no bits at the bottom and there was a lovely froth on top too. Really enjoyed my visit and will definitely return- hopefully early enough to try some of the food!

Big coffee connoisseur here. I have to say this is one of my TOP spots for coffee. Full bodied, balanced coffee. Service great and the staff are super attentive.

Have to love Oide for their hull-mark minimalistic atmosphere, but more importantly top-notch quality drinks. Their ever-rotating bar guarantees the perfect cup for just about anyone, no matter if you’re a daily caffeine seeker or coffee assessment veteran. Just about any small milk drink from their bar is pulled well topped with pristine level of milk steaming finish. I deeply appreciate the option to do a split shot of Espresso and Piccolo for the full tasting experience. Moreover, I can comfortably recommend Oide for Pour-overs explorers as well as enthusiasts. Across several visits, I noticed consistently excellent execution for bright and pleasant acidity and smooth viscosity for mouthfeel. Can’t end a review of Oide without their renowned matcha. Even knowing close to nothing about matcha, I could still quickly grasp the quality here.

They’re easily one of my favorite coffee shops in Vancouver. The Americano has a beautifully smooth finish, and their matcha latte is rich and perfectly balanced.
